At Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons, we understand that your time is valuable. That’s why we offer convenient telehealth appointments, allowing you to connect with our fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialists from the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere with internet access.
Whether you’re experiencing joint pain, recovering from surgery, or seeking a follow-up consultation, our secure virtual visits make it easier than ever to access high-quality orthopaedic care without the need to travel.
You can make a telehealth appointment by calling our scheduling staff at (947) 837-8298. Experts are available Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Watch for a welcome email from Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons. (If you don’t see it, make sure to check your spam folder.) Download the app as instructed to complete your paperwork before the appointment.
You will get a reminder email 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Be sure to allow both camera and microphone access.
Log in 15 minutes before your video visit, and please be prepared with your questions.
Discuss joint pain, minor injuries, or chronic conditions like arthritis without needing to come in. Our providers can assess your symptoms and recommend next steps or treatments.
Follow up on surgical incisions or injuries with a virtual visual inspection. Our team can assess healing progress, offer wound care guidance, and determine if further in-person care is needed.
Go over lab results, such as blood work or cultures, with your provider. We’ll explain what the results mean and help you understand your treatment plan.
Review your imaging results with a provider who will walk you through the findings and explain how they relate to your symptoms or diagnosis.
Attend follow-up visits after surgery from the comfort of your home. Providers can evaluate your recovery, address concerns, and provide instructions for continued care.
If you need X-rays, you can come into the office for an “X-ray only visit,” followed by a telemedicine appointment. Or, you can schedule an appointment if you already had X-rays taken.
For the best video visit, Wi-Fi or a wired connection is strongly preferred.
Cut down on background noise and help keep the conversation private.
Sometimes we run a few minutes behind, just like in the office.
Please know this telemedicine technology uses bank-grade encryption, so your personal information is protected.
