Same-day imaging. Seamless care.

Fast, Accurate Imaging for Precise Orthopaedic Care

At Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons, we offer on-site MRI services designed to streamline your diagnosis and treatment process. By providing fast, high-resolution imaging in the same place where you receive care, our team can diagnose injuries and conditions faster—often without sending you to a separate imaging facility. Whether you’re dealing with a joint injury, spine issue, or unexplained pain, our MRI services support precise, same-day decisions and seamless care coordination with your orthopaedic provider.

Why Use MOS for MRI?

  • Orthopaedic-Focused Imaging: Our radiology protocols are designed specifically for bone, joint, and soft tissue evaluation.
  • Convenient Access: Imaging is available right inside our centrally located Southfield clinica location, saving you time and reducing delays in care.
  • Surgeon, imaging tech, and care team are all connected, reducing redundancy and improving accuracy.

Before Your Appointment:

  • All jewelry and metal must be removed prior to checking in for the MRI.
  • Patients are required to show up at least 15 minutes prior to their appointment. Failure to do so can result in the cancellation of their MRI and a $35 fee. (We understand delays can happen. However, we must try to keep the other patients and doctors on time. If a patient is 15 minutes past their arrival time, we will have to reschedule the appointment.)
  • MRI cancellations need to be done 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will incur a $35 fee. Patients will also be charged a $35 fee if they do not show up to their scheduled MRI appointment. The fee must be paid in full in order to reschedule.
  • A second subsequent no-show will result in a $70 fee. If a patient no shows two scheduled MRI appointments, they will not be allowed to reschedule at our facility.
ACR-1

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report that can be used for continuous practice improvement.
