Your Partners in Lifelong Orthopaedic Wellness

At Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons we believe that strong bones are the foundation of a healthy, active life. Whether you’re managing osteoporosis, recovering from a fracture, or simply looking to protect your bone health as you age, our expert team is here to support you every step of the way.

Bone density naturally decreases with age, increasing the risk of fractures, loss of mobility, and other complications. But with the right care, education, and early intervention, you can prevent or slow down bone loss and maintain your independence for years to come.

Common Bone Health Concerns We Treat:

  • Osteopenia and osteoporosis
  • Fragility fractures
  • Vitamin D and calcium deficiencies
  • Bone loss due to medication or illness
  • Postmenopausal bone health

Who Should Be Proactive About Bone Health?

Bone health isn’t just for the elderly. We encourage evaluation for individuals who:

  • All jewelry and metal must be removed prior to checking in for the MRI.
  • Patients are required to show up at least 15 minutes prior to their appointment. Failure to do so can result in the cancellation of their MRI and a $35 fee. (We understand delays can happen. However, we must try to keep the other patients and doctors on time. If a patient is 15 minutes past their arrival time, we will have to reschedule the appointment.)
  • MRI cancellations need to be done 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will incur a $35 fee. Patients will also be charged a $35 fee if they do not show up to their scheduled MRI appointment. The fee must be paid in full in order to reschedule.
  • A second subsequent no-show will result in a $70 fee. If a patient no shows two scheduled MRI appointments, they will not be allowed to reschedule at our facility.
